Badge legend

Halal verified

  • No porcine or alcohol derivatives
  • Certified slaughter or documented synthetic source
  • Manufacturing line audit every 12 months

Note: Source documents are reviewed by our scholar council before the badge appears.

Kosher friendly

  • Hechsher from recognized authority or matching ingredient list
  • No shared equipment without kashering proof

Note: Applies to packaged foods only; fresh goods require regional guidance.

Vegan / cruelty-free

  • No animal-derived ingredients including beeswax or carmine
  • Supplier attestation of no animal testing after 2013

Note: We cross-check with Leaping Bunny and brand documentation.

Wudu friendly

  • Breathable formulation (water permeability > 6 g/m²/h)
  • No impermeable silicone layers on ablution areas

Note: Requires third-party lab permeability tests or FDA/EMA data.

When badges disappear

If we cannot re-verify certificates or ingredient lists shift, the badge enters a “Pending review” state. You will see a grey outline with the last review date. Brands and community members can upload additional proof to restore the badge.
