How we keep discussions safe and useful

Follow these principles when voting on ingredients, posting comments, or submitting reports.

Core pillars

Evidence-first reports

Only flag ingredients with real proof—photos, lab results, or regulator links. Rumors and hearsay slow down moderation.

Zero harassment

Debate labels, not people. Personal attacks, hate speech, or doxxing trigger immediate suspensions.

No sponsored influence

Brands and influencers must disclose affiliations. Undisclosed marketing is removed and accounts face penalties.

Enforcement ladders

Warnings

Minor first-time violations receive in-app warnings with education on the relevant rule. Two warnings escalate to a suspension.

Suspensions

Temporary suspensions (24h to 30d) apply to spam, misinformation, or harassment. Repeat offenses become permanent bans.

Permanent removal

Coordinated manipulation, hate speech, or sharing private data leads to permanent account removal and report history quarantine.

FAQ

Community conduct basics

Are brand reps allowed?

Yes, but they must verify their badge and cannot vote on competitors. Commercial accounts breaking disclosure rules lose community access.

What counts as misinformation?

Anything that contradicts regulator findings or cited scientific sources. Always link credible references when challenging an ingredient.

Can suspended users appeal?

Appeals are available for suspensions longer than 7 days. Email trust@zeta.app with context; we respond within 48 hours.

Need to report a rule violation?

Trust moderators answer within 6 business hours

Email community@zeta.app with profile links, screenshots, and timestamps. We document every case and can hop on a live call for sensitive escalations.
