Know exactly when you’ll be charged
Understand how free trials, renewals, and cancellations work so there are no surprises on your bank statement.
Lifecycle overview
1. Activate your trial
Trials start the moment you finish checkout (no charge). You get full Premium features for the stated number of days.
2. Track the countdown
Settings → Billing shows exactly when your trial ends. We email reminders 3 days and 1 hour before billing begins.
3. Auto-renew or cancel
Do nothing to continue seamlessly, or tap “Cancel renewal” at least 1 hour before the timer hits zero to avoid charges.
Troubleshooting
Trial ended early
If a payment attempt was already pending (e.g., card verification failed), the gateway may cancel the trial. Re-add your card and contact support to restore remaining days.
Tip: Include the last 4 digits of your card when emailing billing@zeta.app.
Was I charged twice?
Renewals generate an invoice and may show both an authorization and capture line on your statement. The $0 auth from signup should disappear within 7 days.
Tip: Download the official receipt from Settings → Billing → Invoices to confirm the exact amount.
Free trial missing
Each account (and payment method) gets one trial. If you previously used Premium, the system skips the trial and bills immediately.

Common questions
Can I extend my trial?›
We occasionally grant extensions for users who completed fewer than three scans. Email support@zeta.app with context and we’ll review within one business day.
What time do renewals run?›
Charges process at the same minute as your original signup, using UTC. If a bank declines, we retry up to 3 times over 5 days.
Will canceling delete my data?›
No. Canceling only stops future billing. You keep access until the trial or paid period ends, and your history remains unless you request deletion.
Need a human to double-check your invoice?
Billing stewards respond within 6 business hours
Email billing@zeta.app with your workspace ID, signup email, and any screenshots. We can pause renewals, resend receipts, or credit time if something went wrong.
